Join us Thursday for excitement, joy, dancing food and fun fun fun.  Relive how the West was settled through the Railroad. Thursday, we will relive our collective experiences at the California State Railroad Museum.

 

But, that is just the start of the party. That evening we enjoy a cornucopia of fun and dance; including casino action and chef prepared food.

This beautiful, expansive venue is a global icon located in Sacramento's historic Old Sacramento Waterfront. Carrousels will experience the transformative power of those railroads that built California, united a nation, and changed the world. Explore the extensive locomotive collection and be transformed through California’s locomotive history dating from 1862 to 1944. Experience the contribution of those that shaped California railroads with highlights portraying African American contributions. Including generations of Pullman Porters and other railroad jobs. Pullman Porters helped promote the rights and futures of African Americans, carried labor organizing skills, civil rights ideals, and elements of black culture – such as jazz and blues – across the country. You will experience California history as it is collected, preserved and retold.
